Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was born into a multicultural family. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and from Sri Lanka. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline is the oldest of two brothers as well as a younger sister. In the wake of turmoil in Lanka, her parents were forced to relocate to Bahrain in the early 1980s. Schooling was finished within Bahrain and she won an Scholarship to attend an education at University of Sydney. There she earned an Media and Communications degree. As a lover of all cultures and languages she also took part in the Berlitz school of languages, which is where she began to learn Spanish and improved her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006 and she was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. In 2006 she won she won the Miss Sri Lanka title. Then, she stepped on television as a host of a program on Sri Lankan business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone had the honor of being a daughter of badminton champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew as a child in Bangalore however, she came from Copenhagen. When she was a teen, Padukone was a participant in numerous national badminton tournaments. She eventually gave up her passion for the game when she decided to pursue a career as a professional model. Padukone is of Mangalorean origins and speaks Konkani as her mother tongue. Her family ancestors are from the village Padukone located in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district in Karnataka state in India. His father, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of global repute. Her mother works as a travel agent.
